What’s a Beastologist?
by Page Turner

Nathaniel Fludd, Beastologist: Flight of the Phoenix by R. L. LaFevers

Nathaniel Fludd can hardly believe his ears when he hears the news: his parents have been declared lost at sea after the crash of the airship Italia. Nate hasn’t seen his parents for three years, despite their promises to send for him on his eighth birthday. He travels to his father’s cousin’s house in Batting-at-the-Flies in North County. Her name is Phil A. Fludd.

The strangeness begins shortly after Nate enters Aunt Phil’s house. While eating dinner, he encounters… a dodo? Well, believe it or not, the dodo is only the beginning. Nate soon joins Aunt Phil on an airplane trip to witness the birth of the new phoenix. While journeying, Nate meets a gremlin named Greasle, who proves to be helpful even if she is considered a pest. When Nate and Aunt Phil reach the phoenix’s nest, however, it isn’t long before the territorial Bedouin take Aunt Phil to their camp. Can Nate save Aunt Phil and help assist the phoenix’s rebirth? Find out in Flight of the Phoenix.
