Ty and his family live deep in the ocean, the only place he’s ever really known. When bandits attack his homestead, he’s forced to join up with Gemma, a Topsider looking for her brother, in order to save his home and his family. But living in the deep comes with dangerous people and even more dangerous secrets.
I love books like this. The idea of futuristic communities living in the ocean is so fascinating to me. Dark Life certainly didn’t disappoint. The world the main characters live in is so different from our world today, socially and technologically. Kat Falls does a fantastic job of shaping this world.
The storyline is incredibly compelling. From deep-sea outlaws to long-lost brothers to troubles living in a deep-sea frontier, there are a ton of factors to keep readers engaged. All in all, I enjoyed this book immensely. I hope you take the time to read it!
