Rosie has led a good life up until recently. Rosie’s father had a stroke, leaving her to stay with her grandfather, who is retired from the Marines. She also has to deal with her estranged mother, who left when Rosie was young, but still tries to be involved in Rosie’s life. The very worst thing is that Rosie’s mom gave away her dog, Augustus. Now Rosie has to learn how to cope with her grandfather, a boy named Phillipe who rarely removes his huge coat, an annoying girl who tries to make Rosie her friend, and a teacher who tries to tutor her despite Rosie’s protests.
Will Rosie be able to find her dog? And will things turn out better than Rosie had hoped? Find out when you read Chasing Augustus.
